International Trainee Network and Odyssey International Exchange’s Scholarship Competition is back in 2024 and we are excited to make it all about popular culture!
Together with Odyssey International Exchange, we are providing a unique opportunity for one ambitious and hardworking young professional, current student, or recent graduate to win a free J-1 Training Program worth $3995. Discounts on our program fees will be available for the participants in the competition.

Perhaps you were introduced to the Tourism, Hospitality, and Culinary industry through pop culture or discovered more about the United States through various forms of entertainment, you may now be seeking to gain international experience in the field. Whatever your motivation, our competition offers an excellent opportunity for you to immerse yourself in America and create your own journey. How To Enter In The Competition?
Participants will have to submit their most updated CV/Resume by completing the registration form here.
Our team of experts will review the CV/Resume to determine if you meet the eligibility criteria for the J-1 Intern & Trainee Program and Visa. In order to submit your resume, click here.
We will inform you via email if you are eligible for a Hospitality or Culinary J-1 Intern or Trainee Program with us. If eligible and meeting requirements, you will have to submit to us a minimum 1-minute-long video.

Video Requirements:
Tell us more about your story, what inspired you to join the Hospitality, Tourism or Culinary industry and if you know anything about America from pop culture!
The video can be filmed anywhere and you can ask help from your friends in creating and editing it. It is mandatory to be present in the video. For inspiration, please watch the video from the winner of the ITN & Odyssey’s Scholarship Competition in 2023.
In addition to that, you must be present in some of the scenes in the video and answer the following questions:
Did you learn anything about America from music, television, film or literature? Tell us more about what you have learned!
What is the most iconic pop culture moment that you can recall from a hotel, restaurant or other hospitality establishment?
If you were to suggest a movie, TV show, book, or piece of music that has inspired you, which one would you choose?
Competition Requirements:
Must be eligible for a Hospitality or Culinary J-1 Intern or Trainee program in the United States. Here you may read more about the J-1 Eligibility Criteria.
The candidate cannot have participated before in a J-1 Intern or Trainee program with us, or cannot be already registered for a program with ITN.
Participants must submit their CV/Resumes on the page here by March 20th, at 12 PM PST.
Eligible candidates will submit their video to ITN by April 20th, at 12 PM PST.
